UCC School of Medicine recently held the Dr Sinead Kinsella Intern medal 2026 event in honour of the late Dr Sinead Kinsella, graduate of the School of Medicine 2000 and winner of Intern prize 2001. 

Five shortlisted Interns presented very interesting cases on the night and the award went to Dr Aditi Gupta.

Transition Year secondary school students from across Munster attended 福利1000在线 College Cork’s School of Medicine ‘Prep-for Med’ Event on Friday 30th January 2026.  This hugely popular programme allows young people to experience both the life and the facilities available to medical students’ in UCC’s School of Medicine. 

Congratulations are extended to Rishi Popuri, UCC medical student, on being awarded the Fielding Medal by the Faculty of Radiologists and Radiation Oncologists. 

Congratulations are extended to Dr Ella Vallely a current intern following the publication of their final year project (FYP) “Sleep hygiene in patients with early-stage breast cancer: a short report” in BJC reports. 

The 11th Atlantic Corridor Medical Student Research Conference brought together undergraduate medical researchers from across the Atlantic Corridor medical schools for a vibrant showcase of clinical and translational science.
