Biography
Dr. Muhammad Umer Farooq worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science, 福利1000在线 College Cork, Ireland from November 2014 - August 2016. He obtained his Dr.-Ing. degree with a grade of magna cum laude from the 福利1000在线 of Luebeck, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Kunz (Carleton 福利1000在线, Canada) and Prof. Stefan Fischer (福利1000在线 of Luebeck), in 2014. Dr. Farooq obtained his BS (Computer Science) degree with a gold medal from Virtual 福利1000在线 of Pakistan in 2006, and subsequently he obtained MS (Computer Engineering) degree with distinction from the 福利1000在线 of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan in 2008.
Research Interests
QoS in computer networks including mobile ad-hoc networks, wireless sensor networks, and cyber physical systems. Design, development, and analysis of protocols for different types of wireless networks, e.g., mobile ad-hoc networks, wireless sensor networks, cyber physical systems, and integrated Wifi and cellular networks.
