20 year time capsule sealed in the Hub
A time capsule to celebrate 180 years of UCC was sealed today during a ceremony in the Hub Atrium. Capturing a snapshot of student life in 2025/26, the time capsule will remain sealed in the Hub to be opened on UCC's 200th anniversary.

New Social Care Apprenticeship at UCC and MTU
Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation &Science, James Lawless TD, Minister for Children, Disability &Equality, Norma Foley TD and Minister of State with responsibility for Further Education, Apprenticeship, Construction & Climate Skills, Marian Harkin TD, today launched a new Social Care Apprenticeship at UCC and MTU. Social Care Workers play a crucial role in supporting the most vulnerable in our society, and this new pathway will enable people from all backgrounds, with a diverse range of experience, to pursue a career in Social Care Work.

The Crann Centre launches community co-created Research Strategy in partnership with UCC
The Crann Centre welcomed An Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD to formally launch its new Research Strategy. This event, which brought together representatives of government, academia, the health service and the community, marked a significant milestone in the organisation’s mission to transform disability services through evidence-based, family-centred innovation.
