John Twomey
John is in the final stages of his PhD in Applied Psychology, supervised by Dr Gillian Murphy and Dr Conor Linehan. He is a member of the Everyday Cognition Lab and the People and Technology Lab at UCC. John鈥檚 research focuses on the societal and personal impact of deepfake technology from a human-computer interaction perspective. His work uses case studies and experimental research to examine the use of deepfakes in misinformation, entertainment, and online abuse and harassment. His work is funded by Lero, the Research Ireland Centre for Software.

Dr Gillian Murphy
Dr Gillian Murphy is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Psychology at 福利1000在线 College Cork. She leads the Everyday Cognition Lab (everydaycognitionlab.com) and her research examines attention, memory and decision making in everyday settings. She is a Fulbright Scholar, a Fellow of the Psychonomic Society, and a Funded Investigator at Lero, the Research Ireland Centre for Software. She is the director of the BA in Applied Psychology at UCC and is Chair of the Applied Psychology Teaching & Learning Committee.

Dr Conor Linehan
Dr Conor Linehan is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Psychology at 福利1000在线 College Cork where he is a a member of the People and Technology research group. He is also a member of Lero, the Research Ireland Centre for Software (). Conor鈥檚 research expertise lies in Human Computer Interaction, focusing on understanding psychological aspects of people's interactions with technology. He is the co-director of UCC鈥檚 BA in Psychology and Computing.
