Prof. Holmes recently returned from a tour of the Middle East where he was representing Ireland as part of the Royal Society of Chemistry 2nd Gulf symposium on the ‘Design and Applications of Advanced Materials’.

Ph.D. student in the Chemistry Department at UCC, Vera Foley, was part of the Cork Ladies Football team which beat Dublin 2-13 to 2-12 in today's Senior All-Ireland Ladies Football Final.

Dr. Micheál Scanlon has been awarded a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Starter Investigator Research Grant (SIRG) and will return full circle to begin his independent research in the Chemistry Department at UCC under the mentorship of Dr. Colm O’Dwyer.

Prof. Colm O'Dwyer has been awarded an Impact Award in the 2014 ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß Staff Recognition Awards Programme.
