Scientists in Cork have discovered a drug that increases appetite, in a development they believe may also point the way to a drug that can trigger weight loss.

This Thursday, 10^th November UCC will celebrate the achievement of its 2016 Long Service Award recipients (35 or 25 years’ service to UCC).

This week saw John O'Connell graduate in the autumn conferrings with a PhD degree.

Today saw 56 students graduate with BSc (Hons) degrees in Chemistry, Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds, Chemistry with Forensic Science, Science (Chemistry) Education and Chemical Physics.

Prof. John Sodeau is the 2016 winner of the Annual Chemistry Award of the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland.
