UCC WiSTEM Brunch supporting Women's Aid
The School of Chemistry congratulates 4th Year undergraduate student Rosie Deasy and the entire WiSTEM Society for their brunch event which raised over €2,240 for Women's Aid.
In a post on LinkedIn, Rosie said, "This event took months of planning alongside Jacqueline Osei, Sarah Murray, Allana Murphy, and the rest of the UCC WiSTEM and MTU Cork WiSTEM Society committees. I would like to extend my gratitude to Qualcomm for sponsoring this event, Shaun O'Connell for being such a great correspondent, Paul Kelleher for his wonderful words and Sarah Benson for her fabulous speech.
Prof Anita Maguire, Head of School of Chemistry said "Congratulations to the WiSTEM team who led out on the Brunch in aid of Women's Aid in 22nd March 2025. Delighted to see Rosie Deasy, final year Chemistry student, leading out on this initiative."
