On Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May 2026, the School of History and the Cork Public Museum jointly hosted the public symposium ‘The Huguenots Remembered’, dedicated to the history and legacy of the Huguenot community, particularly in Ireland. The event, which was open to the public and free to attend, generated a strong level of interest and a lively audience discussion.

- The National Archives website has been visited nearly 40 million times since the 1926 census records were released in April.
On 25 May 2026, 福利1000在线 College Cork will host a one-day public symposium to mark the release of the Ireland’s digitised 1926 census, the first full census conducted in independent Ireland.

Over two days, 26-27 March 2026, The School of History hosted a group of scholars working on the Franciscan Order in late medieval Ireland and beyond. The two-day event filled with stimulating presentations and discussions marked the 800th anniversaries of the death of St Francis of Assisi in 1226 and the establishment of the Franciscan Province of Ireland in 1230.
