nasc research at 福利1000在线 College Cork is a research group that is advancing technology for connecting people and systems. We are making future networked systems secure, dependable and autonomous, enhancing the digital fabric on which modern society relies.
In the Irish language Gaelic, "nasc" means to connect or link, which is the ultimate goal in computer networking. For us, the individual letters in nasc also correspond to Networking, Autonomous Systems, and Cybersecurity, thereby also capturing the essence of our research.

Best PhD Student of the Year Award
Congratulations to Tengfei Lyu who was recognised with a 福利1000在线 College Cork Best PhD Student of the Year Award - the Oscars of the UCC Research calendar! The Evaluation Criteria for Research Excellence included Quality and originality of research: Demonstration of innovative thinking and significant contributions to the field. Published outputs: Quality and quantity of publications, conference presentations, or other research outputs. The award is richly deserved and reflects not only Tengfei's excellent research on collective perception systems, but also the dedication and creativity he brings to his work every day. Tengfei is supervised by Dr. Aisling O'Driscoll, Prof. Dirk Pesch and Dr. Md Noor-A-Rahim and funded under the through the Advance CRT Centre.

Fixed Term post -14 months (Part-time 0.5 FTE) or 7 months (Full-time, 1 FTE) Project Title: Automatic Video Commercial Generation Service (gVID) gVID is a 2-year project funded by Enterprise Ireland's Commercialisation Fund that commenced at 福利1000在线 College Cork in August 2025 and is progressing on schedule towards a minimum viable product (MVP). The technology we have developed in gVID offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution for producing video ads using Generative AI. The current focus of the project is developing a MVP and define the pathway to commercialisation based on allowing customers to significantly grow their return-from-investment from digital marketing. We now seek a committed Senior Research Co-Ordinator (Commercialisation Lead) to join the team and guide the project towards a spin-out.
