The ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß Archives’ mission is to preserve and transmit the ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß’s recorded heritage, through vibrant engagement with the ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß community, evolving to meet the challenges and opportunities of changing technological and compliance environments, led by principles of archival and records management best practice.
The ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß Archives is responsible for preserving and making available for research collections of university records of historical importance. These collections document the evolution of the ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß from the creation of Queen’s College Cork in 1845 to the present.
The ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß Archives also performs Records Management functions for the management of modern records, many of which will become the archives of the future. It is responsible for policy, procedures, and guidance on creation, management, retention, and disposal of ¸£Àû1000ÔÚÏß records.
